Refund Policy
The Baroness will not pursue further inquiry. The cheese will forgive you.
Here is the deal, plainly and in the same voice I write everything else in.
I want you to actually use this guide. I want you to host a dinner party with it. I want you to deploy a cheese course, pour the wine, and have one of those nights you remember three weeks later.
If you do that and the guide didn’t earn its $19 — I’ll refund you. No interrogation, no form with fourteen drop-down menus, no Baroness lawyer letter. Just an email, a refund, and we both move on.
What I am not offering is a free trial dressed up as a refund policy. You’re not borrowing the guide for two weeks and returning it. The PDFs stay on your drive forever. So the policy is calibrated for people who genuinely tried it and it didn’t help — not for people who downloaded it, never opened it, and changed their minds.
Read on for the actual terms.
From the date of purchase. Enough time to host one dinner party and decide.
— I —What qualifies for a refund
To be eligible for a refund, all of the following must be true:
- You purchased The Wine & Cheese Pairing Guide directly from wineanddrama.com.
- It has been 14 days or fewer since your purchase date.
- You actually read the guide and deployed at least one cheese course from it — meaning you used at least one of the regional pairings, hosting moves, or recommendations at a real meal.
- After doing the above, you genuinely don’t feel the guide earned its $19.
That’s the bar. I’m not asking for receipts. I’m not asking for photos of the cheese plate. I’m asking that you actually tried it.
— II —What doesn’t qualify
To be honest about the edges:
- Requests made more than 14 days after purchase.
- Requests from people who downloaded the guide and never opened it. If the PDF has sat in your downloads folder unread for two weeks, the guide didn’t fail you. Life did. I cannot refund life.
- Requests made because you changed your mind about the topic — i.e., you decided you don’t want to host dinner parties after all. That’s a worthwhile realization, but it’s not a product defect.
- Requests for the bonus PDFs only. The bundle is sold as one package. Refunds are for the whole bundle or none of it.
- Requests from chargebacks filed without contacting me first. If you have an issue, email me. I respond. Chargebacks cost me fees on top of the refund and they’re almost always avoidable with a one-line email.
— III —How to request a refund
Three steps. None of them take more than three minutes.
Reply to any email I’ve ever sent you
Or write to me directly at the address in the contact box below. Use the subject line “Refund Request” so it doesn’t get lost in the inbox where things go to age.
Tell me what didn’t work
One or two sentences is plenty. What region did you try? What didn’t land? This isn’t a hurdle — it’s how I make the guide better for the next person. The Baroness reads every reply.
I’ll process the refund within 5 business days
The money returns to the card or payment method you used. Depending on your bank, it may take an additional 3–10 days to appear on your statement. The PDFs are yours to keep — there’s no way to un-download a file, and frankly, no point.
“The Baroness will not pursue further inquiry. The cheese will forgive you.”
— IV —The actual fine print
Currency & payment processor. All sales are processed in USD. Refunds are returned in USD to the original payment method. Currency conversion fees charged by your bank are not within my control and cannot be refunded by me.
Promotional & bundled purchases. If you bought the guide as part of a launch-week bundle (with bonus PDFs included), refunds apply to the full bundle as one unit. The bonuses cannot be retained while the main guide is refunded, and vice versa.
Third-party purchases. If you somehow acquired this guide through a third-party reseller, gift, or unauthorized channel, refunds must be requested through whoever sold it to you. Wine & Drama only processes refunds for direct purchases through wineanddrama.com.
Chargebacks. Filing a chargeback with your bank without first contacting me forfeits any refund eligibility under this policy. It also creates fees that punish small businesses disproportionately. Please email me first. I respond.
Repeat refunds. If you’ve previously requested and received a refund from Wine & Drama, future purchases are not eligible for refund. I assume you know what you’re getting at this point.
Policy changes. This policy applies to the version posted at the time of your purchase. I may update it for future buyers, but the policy you bought under is the policy that applies to you.
Where to write to me
Email: hello@wineanddrama.com
Subject line: Refund Request
Response time: usually within 48 hours, sometimes faster. If a week goes by without a response, write again — occasionally an email gets eaten by a spam filter, and I’d rather hear from you twice than not at all.
